About Us

My name is Geoffrey, and I am a full time mechanical and environmental engineer by trade, and a carpenter at heart. For the last seven-plus years my weekends have gone to the work I would pick over just about anything: building decks and fences, hanging doors, installing trim, and fixing the things around a house that have broken or worn out.

Geoff's Fix It runs on Sundays and Mondays with a three-man crew: me, Todd, and Phillip. We keep it small on purpose. The same three sets of hands that start your job are the ones that finish it.

Carpentry comes first, but it's not the whole list. If a job isn't plumbing, electrical, or roofing, we probably take it on, painting included.

A few certificates back up the work: I'm a certified Therma-Tru door installer, OSI certified, and a TimberTech Pro installer. That training matters, because door and decking warranties depend on the install being done to spec.

I publish my prices right here on this website, plus estimates are free and in writing.

We work within about an hour of Springfield: Chatham, Sherman, Rochester, Riverton, Athens, Auburn, Pawnee, Petersburg, Jacksonville, Taylorville, and Lincoln, among others.
